Qualifications and skills
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript: Deep understanding and experience writing clean, efficient, and documented code
- Extensive experience with VSCode Extension development: Demonstrated ability to develop, test, and deploy Visual Studio Code extensions. Familiarity with the VSCode API and extension architecture
- Experience with end-to-end (e2e) execution and deployment: Proven track record of managing the full lifecycle of software development, including CI/CD pipelines and deploying applications to marketplaces or production environments
- Knowledge of Python: Comfortable writing Python scripts and applications, particularly for the purpose of integration with other tools or services
- Understanding of software development best practices: Includes version control with Git, code review processes, and automated testing frameworks
- Experience with cloud services: Familiarity with deploying and managing applications in cloud environments (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform)
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain VSCode extensions: Build new features, fix bugs, and optimize performance of extensions to enhance developer productivity tools
- Experiment with Python integrations: Leverage Python knowledge to create or enhance integrations between VSCode extensions and various tools or services
